A Few Things to Remember

1. "The festival will go on rain, snow, sleet, hail, or February hurricane."
2. We love pets and they are allowed in the campground, but not in the festival area.
3. Coolers are allowed in the campground, but not in the festival area. We encourage you to enjoy the refreshing beverages and delicious food available from our vendors.
4. Gates will open at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26. Music begins at 5:00p.m.

Mark your calendars and join us February 26th through the 28th in beautiful Charlotte County, Florida for the 3rd Annual Stevefest. This festival was created to celebrate the legacy of Steve Blackwell, a humble singer-songwriter who honored his family, human rights, and this flowered land through his music. His songs, that are inspiration for people all over the country, were inspired by the unique community found in Charlotte County. This community, where he chose to put down roots and raise a family, is nestled along the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor on the Gulf coast of Florida, and provides a beautiful natural setting ready to inspire.

This Year At Stevefest.

This year Stevefest will be a large-scale three-day outdoor event presented to the public that celebrates the roots, richness, and variety of Florida and Folk culture. We are also excited to offer camping! Stevefest features a jubilant and dizzying program that will include music and songwriting contests, workshops, children’s activities, regional and ethnic foods, storytelling, parades, craft exhibits and demonstrations, and more. A Celebration of Our Cultural Roots.

Folk arts are those deeply held traditions and cultural expressions that are passed down from generation to generation through families, communities, and ethnic groups. Stevefest honor's and embraces these traditions, ranging from the heritage of our ancestor's to the newly discovered culture of our country's most recent immigrants. Old masters of the arts and the next generation of inspired young artists have come together in celebration of the musical soul and cultural roots of America.

As we celebrate the traditions of our country as a whole we take special care not to overlook the traditions born right here in Florida. Enjoy the rich heritage of this unique community that inspired Steve Blackwell, and find inspiration among others.

Whether young or old here at Stevefest you will find something to engage your mind and entertain your senses. Join your peers by taking part in hands-on activities, and by sharing the richness and diversity of many cultures provide an educational experience to teach children the inspiring history they share. We will have organized, supervised activities for children of all ages. This is a family friendly festival. We love kids!
